Each season, the HuskerPedia™ BBS hosts a final top ten ranking prediction contest.  Participants must post their predictions, within the appropriate thread, of what they think will be the final top ten teams at the conclusion of the regular season and all bowl games.  The participant who comes closest to the actual final top ten will be able to bask in the glory of the impressive bragging rights, and also win a real prize (see contest thread for details).  Runner(s) up, will also be recognized, and the person farthest from the final truth will probably be victimized a bit as well.  There is no cost to participate, but you must be a registered BBS user to enter a score.

Note on duplicate entries: Entries with the same final top ten as someone else's earlier post are allowed. However, only one 1st place winner will be selected based on time of entry to the post (earliest post wins). Subsequent tied final scores will be designated as Runner-Up.

How winners are determined:

The final version of the AP Poll after the Bowl Games are concluded, extended beyond the Top 25 to include all teams receiving votes, is the standard by which predictions will be measured. If Nebraska was chosen to finish 6th and they finish 19th, thirteen points are assessed. It doesn’t matter if the team in question ends up ranked higher or lower than the prediction, the difference will be counted as a positive value.

This scoring assessment will be assessed against all teams in the participant's top ten for a total score.  Teams in the participant's top ten that do not end up in the AP’s final Top 25 or receiving any votes at all will be assessed 60 points.  A perfect score in this contest is 0 (zero).
